Move over, emojis. GIFs are the latest online engagement tool now. Back in June, we were delighted to see the long-awaited arrival of GIFs across the Twittersphere. We’ve seen everything from cat, dancing, tv and just plain weird GIFs. But now we seem to seem to be in the middle of some kind of GIF renaissance with brands getting involved too. More and more companies, brands and even television channels are not only utilising but nailing the art of the GIF by building branded content. Comedy Central #SouthPark is on all of your screens forever including right now. pic.twitter.com/CbbQ8FygEb — Comedy Central…

Tweets as currency

To give a simple explanation, this concept replaces actual money for tweets in exchange for products. Tweets as currency isn’t exactly a new idea. In the past,  you have been able to pay for music and books through a tweet and now we’re seeing brands use it more often, Kellogg’s even had a whole shop dedicated to the concept! Most recently, Uniqlo have partnered with Starbucks to host a Twitter vending machine where a simple tweet from the device will get you a t-shirt.   Our UT Vending Machine will be exclusively at @StarbucksUK Conduit St, London this Friday 10th only! pic.twitter.com/Pmme9tOTL2…
